I am going to use OBS to stream a video (and cut in a Zoom chat) to YouTube. I'm trying to figure out the BEST quality playback from OBS. As I see it, my choices are:
a) OBS Media Source
b) VLC Video Source
c) screen capture of a second monitor, playing full-screen video
I'm assuming (for no real reason!) that VLC (b) might give me better/more reliable resolution. I'm not sure if that's true, though. To my eyes, all my tests with OBS Media Source (a) looked just fine. When I use VLC Video Source (b), the audio/video sync is off. I know I can adjust this, but I have a fear of it not being the exact same offset amount on the night of the stream.
(c) is on there just as another option; I really don't know if that's clever or stupid.
Any thoughts/opinions/deeper knowledge than I have?
