Hey all,
Looking for advice on the optimal settings (quality) for our live stream. We are shooting live with an Arri Alexa and using a BM Atem unit to send out a live signal. This will be put through a BM Video assist and into a MBP with a ton of ram and good processer that will be running OBS. This stream will be output to FB Live. We will be capturing in 1080p. Now for some questions:
-Should we shoot in 29.97p or 30p? (I know FB live does 30p)
Is 23.98 ok? Or, will it slow things down?
-What are the most optimized settings to get the highest quality possible, while avoiding user errors (av sync issues, stuck image, etc) It seems like you can boost up the settings on the broadcast side, but the user experience begins to get affected at a certain point. Any help or advice would be greatly appreciated.
- If we are having audio/video sync issues, can we adjust sync in OBS? (I believe i read another post about a sync option jnder mixer settings)
-Over all, how do we get the most professional quality out of our stream? We have a great camera, great internet connection and want to have a great stream quality. PLEASE ADVISE!!!
Thanks everyone. Happy to join the OBS community.
Cheers!
