So I have been trying to figure this out for so long and I am getting nowhere. First off, I just wanna preface this with a couple of things. First off, the specs of my computer:
CPU: AMD Ryzen 5 3600 6-Core Processor
GPU: NVidia GeForce GT 710 (Very basic, this is a dedicated streaming PC for my console)
RAM: 16GB
SSD and HD with 2TB as well
Secondly, I record AND stream, so I think I need to have separate encoding settings (on my video tab) depending on what I am doing. Also, I have about 100mbps download and 30mbps upload currently. So I just have a couple of questions or if someone can point me in the right direction:
1. My goal is to stream at 1080p60fps, and my video looks grainy honestly when I use Twitch's recommended 6000kbps, should I pump that up a lot more for when I am streaming to somewhere like 10000-15000? I can record at 18000kbps and my footage doesn't look grainy, and I saw somewhere that I should do roughly 80% of that for when I stream.
2. When I record, should I be using CRF or CBR and if so what should my settings be? Honestly, most people recommended CRF but my video looked fine when I did CBR at 18000kbps.
3. What CPU preset should I even use? I tried testing it and I can do about fast-medium before my video gets choppy.
4. Is encoding on x264 the best since I want to strictly use my CPU and not my GPU for the best quality?
4. Is there any additional setting I can use to make the quality the best it can be that I am not mentioning? I really bought and built this PC designed to stream my xbox to twitch, and I wanna make sure I am using it to the fullest capacity.
Anyways, thank you guys for any response and all the help in advance.
