Goal is to capture screen feed, edit video, and burn to disc for replay on TV. I have the video editing software. I am just confused by the resolution settings. If I record in my native resolution and do not downscale, the resulting video is clipped when I try to work with it. Does the video need to be downscaled and, if so, what are the best settings for TV replay? Alternately, is it better to reset my screen resolution to start with?
