Question / Help Best new, currently available, capture card for mac?

Is there a new capture card for mac that you guys would recommend?

I have been using Elgato HD for a year or so and it was very stable and reliable in the beginning
but lately it is not at all, so I'm looking into new and better options, thankful for any tips.

The blackmagic intensity shuttle thunderbolt is the most "compatible" when setting it up with OBS MultiPlatform. However, you can't do 1080p60. All I gotta say is, stay away from USB 2 capture cards; they delay. You could also try the U3 ExtremeCap by AverMedia if you are looking for 1080p60.

I will look into those suggestions with joy.
HD is great but I stream mostly old games so support for "old" connections (like the Elgato has)
is more important than HD, but then again HD is always nice to have.


I have had occasional issues before (mostly related to lose cables and such)
but now my Elgato has been having serious issues all day, I have tried pretty much everything but it seems to be dead now.

It used to be very stable and have no issues at all so I guess its life span (of about 1 year) is over. It wasn't that
great but I would have thought it would last longer..
