I'm wondering what Downscale filter would be best for shooter type streaming on Twitch. I play ultrawide (so most twitch viewers will have some black bars on top and bottom, but I think it's okay. I scale my output resolution exactly in half. Given that it's exactly divided by 2, which would be the best filter between Bilinear, Bicubic, or Lanczos. My PC doesn't seem to have a problem using any of them from a performance standpoint, I'm just not sure I can tell a difference between any of them either. I mostly play Fortnite and my streams just don't look near as crisp as some of the big streamers out there, and I'm wondering if it's because I'm not a Twitch Partner so I don't get different streaming bitrate options, or if there is something else I can do to get higher picture quality.
My PC specs:
Core i7-8700k
GeForce RTX 2080
Base Resolution: 3440x1440 @ 120hz
Output (Scaled) Resolution: 1720x720 @ 60 FPS
Downscale Filter: ??????
Video Bitrate: 6000
Encoder: Hardware NVENC
Preset: Max Quality
I have Comcast gigabit Internet and I don't ever have any "Dropped Frames" with these settings. My CPU only hits 10 or 11% utilization. I feel like I have the hardware to have a nice crisp image, just wondering if I can do it while maintaining my Ultrawide resolution. Thanks for your help!
