Question / Help Before i try...

So with my stream pc i want to record my live stream in a higher quality for videos, i do need to buy a new mobo cause i messed up a pcie slot but before i do i want to know if i need a better gpu aswell to record on. i use my cpu for encoding the stream using a capture card.

my specs
GPU GTX 770 oc 2GB
16GB ram
Avermedia live gamer 4k capture card
cpu I7 6700k

Should be perfectly fine.

OBS doesn't really use all that much as far as GPU resources (although it definitely does need it). Even better, you could also leverage your GPU for recording using NVENC if you wanted to, at basically 0 performance hit... in case you wanted to record at higher quality than stream.
