Question / Help Bad sound quality in front/main audio channels

When I record, everything sounds fine. But when I look at my recording afterwards, the things in front of and centered in me sound muffled. This also happens to things directly behind me. Things at an angle/to the sides are completely fine.

I'm using a Logitech G930.

Log: https://gist.github.com/b03ee0af5ef09b458a21850aacd6d75e

Things I've tried:

Configuring my headset again

Making front channels full-range

Changing audio quality in settings

Changing video settings

OBS records stereo, not surround. You'll need to configure your audio accordingly when recording.

Were you able to configure your headset as stereo? I have the same issue (I made a thread about it here), but found that my G930 seems to offer no Stereo option; the Dolby switch is something else.

Also, I still need to update the thread, but the tl;dr is that the bug I found isn't the main culprit--it's something the headset driver does itself when any device binds to it and the Dolby switch is flipped. You actually have to flip the switch before starting the game to get it to "take", so to speak, and then everything will sound much better (it's still not technically correct due to the bug, but the most heinous issues disappear).
