Question / Help Bad quality microphone in obs

Install iTunes(for CoreAudioAAC encoder,FAAC encoder sounds sh*t),and increase bitrate,try it.
If you don't use advanced output mode,then you may try lossless,or nearly lossless quality setting
I use focusrite scarlett 6i6 and AT2020,OBS sounds fine with CoreAudioAAC

The only reason I can think of where you would have an audible worse quality for speech would be if you set the audio bitrate way down to 64 kbps.

Start by sharing a log file.
 
Increase bitrate in audio tab,then audio will be fine,if you want higher quality,install iTunes for more efficient encoding
