My computer is a late 2015 27 inch iMac. The graphics system is AMD Radeon R9 M395 2 GB. This machine has 24 GB of RAM and a 3.3 GHz quad-core i5.
I am using Window Capture to pull a Zoom call into OBS for streaming. The framerate of the Zoom content is very poor - I'd estimate 15fps or less. OBS itself reports that it is streaming out at 30fps. When I stream pre-recorded content it streams out at 30fps.
I have configured my system to use the software encoder, and the two Apple encoders; there doesn't appear to be any difference. I have configured my system to rescale the output and to not rescale the output and there doesn't appear to be any difference.
I have configured my system to use a variety of input and output resolutions; there doesn't appear to be any difference.
This feels like a GPU limitation but I want to be sure I have not overlooked anything before I concede defeat. Open to any suggestions.
