I have wireless headphones that I use to watch videos or listen to music, they sound pretty cool, but when I open OBS the audio sounds bad, as if it were canned. I don't know what to do.
Thank you so much, it worked! :DIn OBS settings→Audio, set the mic from default (or your headphones mic device) to disabled. If left configured in OBS, OBS will try to initialize the mic on startup, so your headphones will switch to voip mode, which is much less quality.

I just registered here to thank you specifically for asking this question on a public forum so I wouldn't have to, and of course @koala for the correct answer to my issue. YES! - It seems less common for people to leave notice when something worked for them, and personally I know the hassle of managing a forum environment - so, please, keep this up! I had the same issue while using a wireless headphone. I tried the first fix and it worked. But adding an audio source in OBS brought the problem back. But I went and disabled the microphone of the wireless headphone and it solved this issue for good. It works perfectly now and i can use my secondary microphone too.I have wireless headphones that I use to watch videos or listen to music, they sound pretty cool, but when I open OBS the audio sounds bad, as if it were canned. I was searching on Google for a fix for this issue and found this. I am using the Between Pro earbuds and I disables the microphone like you said and it worked.
