Hello, im new to audio, but when i am recording i am picking up the background noise from my pc fans, and settings or help with what i could do reducing that... i am recording audio on a Rode mic ( If needed to know)

Many Thanks

Your mic should be as near to your mouth as possible (5-15 cm) and as far away from noise sources as possible. If your environment is noisy, choose a mic with a directional pickup pattern (often cardioid) and make sure your mouth is within the pickup zone and your noise sources aren't.

If your mic is too loud then, turn the gain low. As koala said, your speech (directly into the mic) should by far be louder than any background noise in the room.
