Here are my setting options

Avermedia Live Gamer HD (c985)

Video Format = Any or YV12
YUV Color Space = 601 or 709
YUV Color Range = Partial or Full

OBS Studio / SLOBS

Color Format = NV12 or I420 or I444 or RGB
YUV Color Space = 601 or 709
YUV Color Range = Partial or Full

Now. I can match my YUV Color Space and Range settings very easily as the options are identical, but I have no Idea what to set OBS Color Format Settings when I choose either of the c985 settings.

I usually have my c985 set to YV12, but from what I've understood;

NV12 has the Y luma plane then the U & V chroma planes are interweaved together.
I420 has the Y luma plane then the V choma plane then the U chroma plane.

Considering the I set my c985 to YV12 (notice, at least in the name, it's missing the U), I ASSUME that choosing I420 is the most appropriate OBS setting since the I420 color format will not have a U chroma plane to read, I think it wouldn't affect the format as much as NV12 where the format of the NV12 where the U and V choma planes are interweaved.

Can someone shed some clarity on this please?

While I'm asking about it, what does the majority of viewers watch their video format's in? I don't want to have my color space and range in 709 Full if the majority of viewers watch in 601 Partial and my stream looks off because of it... Any clarity on the stats of this?

The stats available only for 4k devices that were sold in UK (mainly for Sky users).
Also, you can get Steam stat info for free too, and take a look at monitors that people use.
TV + Phones is about 10-12% for YouTube as I see (from my own YouTube stat).

I think, that 709 Partial is good choice for you.

You can use NV12 (anyway, the conversion will be turned on automatically if output is not compatible with the processing you specified in OBS Studio). The amount of stored data is the same for all mentioned formats, only HW representation is different. All frames from your device will be decoded by OBS Studio only, so, just make sure, that format was properly recognized, use test charts etc.(https://obsproject.com/forum/resour...t-color-range-settings-guide-test-charts.442/)
