Question / Help Avermedia LGX only displays 30fps in obs

Hello, My Avermedia LGX displays just fine in the Avermedia Recentral 2 Software (720/1080p @60fps) but when I port it to OBS Studio .13.1 Windows, it only displays in 30 fps no matter what I do to the resolution, or anything else. I have run it on both windows 10 and 8.1 with multiple driver sets from Avermedia. These problems are being faced on an Alienware Laptop (i7-4770 nvidia gtx860m) on a USB 3.0 port, so I do not think its a hardware problem at the moment.

Thanks for any help or advice!

EDIT: I have tested using it on a friends Win 10 Desktop, and it functions perfectly fine.

On windows 8.1 I had to use drivers from before the November update of 2015. On windows 10 It just worked with the latest drivers. I would guess that your already outputting audio to your hdmi port.

yeah im on windows 10 and yes Im already outputting audio to my hdmi, Im still messing with it and i noticed when i close obs and use the recentral2 software i get video and sound to it, but when i use obs i only get video no sound.. grr

So i tried to have both softwares running but it seems that only one or the other will work and not both together. Either recentral gets video and sound and if i have obs opened then i just get video no sound?

How do you have it set up so obs gets sound? and we are both using obs studio right?

It looks like I can only send the source to one program if its in obs then recentral has a black screen and if i use recentral then obs has a black screen

I think I read somewhere that your supposed to start REcentral first, close it, then run obs studio. Does it show up in recording or not at all? Also if you want to hear it through the desktop, do you have the audio option selected to output desktop audio?

Got it figured out.. i uninstalled the software and drivers for LGX and then reinstalled just the drivers and now it works in obs.

I have a question, I am using 2 mics one for the streaming pc and one on the gaming pc. But I need help with the skype portion of it. Skype gets picked up and transferred over to the streaming pc but what im thinking might be a problem is my voice will be doubled as when i talk to skype on friends it will get sent over and then the mic that is connected to the streaming pc will pick up my voice as well... have not tired it yet but i think i will encounter this problem.

I thought i could run skype on the streaming pc and use one mic but then im going to have to have my headphones plugged into the streaming pc to get skype and game sound.

is there a way to use my gaming pc mic for skype and not have it send my voice over?
