Hi there,
I really hope you can help me here, I am tearing what little hair I have left out.
The basic issue is that I am getting stuttering in preview / streaming / recording. It's like a rhythmic slowdown every so many frames that happens regardless of settings. It doesn't happen ingame, that is perfectly smooth.
PC Spec:
i7 2600K
8GB Ram
Geforce Titan (first gen)
Windows 10 - Running off an SSD
Avermedia Live Gamer Extreme connected to Renesas USB 3.0 (Passed the Avermedia utility test)
REC Central reports the PS4 Pro as sending a 59.94 input.
OBS Canvas 1920x1080 output 1280x720
Videos of the issue:
59.94fps output - https://www.dropbox.com/s/5ztw7a6t64fpgbp/59.94 fps.mp4?dl=0
60 fps output - https://www.dropbox.com/s/4vgtr7bwfoeyrnb/60 fps.mp4?dl=0
Download it. Dropbox video player isn't the best.
Here are the log files.
Video setting to 59.94 - https://gist.github.com/ff8874fefaa254237c64c1697f68bd8c
Video setting to 60 - https://gist.github.com/47fafa3cd98a90523ac8c25885f4aeb5
Things I have tried.
1) Several different versions of the Avermedia drivers including an unreleased beta that I obtained from their Tech Support.
2) Tried changing the Video Capture input to Match Output FPS, Highest FPS, 59.94 and 60 fps.
3) Set video output to 59.94 or 60 with every combination of the above.
4) Switched between the three downscale filters.
5) Disabled the soundcard and switched to onboard sound.
6) Changed soundcard to 44khz and made sure it matched everywhere throughout the system.
7) Updated Renesas USB 3.0 driver to latest. Also removed it completely and let it use Windows 10 native version.
8) Changed the YUV Color Space setting.
9) Changed the YUV Color Range.
10) Tried a different keyframe interval.
11) Changed between various presets. Medium, Fast, Faster etc
12) Tried different bitrates (not sure how that would effect the preview though)
13) Set base resolution and canvas to 1280x720. No joy.
14) Unplugged all USB devices except for keyboard and mouse. (They are on seperate USB 2.0 chipset)
15) Made sure primary and secondary display are both set to 60hz.
Any pointers????
Thanks
