Hello together. Lets see if we can get help for this because there are dozens and dozens of posts of this in this and other forums about same topic. Sadly i didnt find an answer in any of them. Many of them are either without much info, written in languages noone speaks. So i will do my best to explain it as best i can, give as many infos as needed and will answer anything you ask.

The problem is always the same. In a dual pc setup with (insert x name here) streaming/capture card/ cam, regardless of its capabilities, the dropdown list in a window in OBS that captures the data never shows what the card could do. And there seem to be no answers to why this is. It may show available 720.x480 instead of fullHD or even smaller numbers.

In the Avermedia Streaming and capture center one can record and stream in fullHD. If i try to same via OBS i fail. Same with Streamlabs but lets stay with OBS for now. Some data and more details.

PC 1 is an intel 7700k with a geforce 1070 MSI Aero ITX and 16 GM Crucial Sports Ram, running 1803 Win 10 Pro.
PC 2 is an intel i5 7600 with a geforce 1060 and 8 GB Ram, running Windows home 10803
Streaming card is Avermedia Game Capture, 1920x1080 60FPS version

Settings in the Streaming Card: 1920x1080 30FPS, Videbitrate 60 Mbps

In OBS i add a video capture, set it to the Avermedia card and immidiadetly get the size set to 720x480. See pic. If i try to do custom numbers the screen stays black until i set back to the one resolution that is in the dropdown box, beeing 720x480.

I tried many many things. NVENC, Software, high bitrate, low bitrate, delete scene, add new, so this and do that. I cannot, as much i try, set to fullHD.

Yes, in OBS all settings are set to fullHD. The normal output as well as the scaled output, both are at hullHD, 1920x1080.

Logs are attached. Pleas let me know what you need, a lot of ppl have this problem still it seems since i could not found a single topic answered where this came up. Can be i didnt look enough maybe, sure.

Well, seems i can answer at least one of those cases myself.

In case of Avermedia Streaming devices, there is a new software for the Streamengine dated Sept 2018. With this one can get it to work in OBS.

Please note you have to delete the current overlay of the capture card and add a new one. Its not called "Avermedia xxx" anymore but "LGP xxx" something. Choose this one and viola, fullHD can be selected.

In case of AVermdia LGP Lite - GL310 its the version nr Stream Engine v1.3.0.16, dated 2018-09-26

Because you're using the "Avermedia" source.

Install the LGPLite Stream Engine from the Avermedia official website
