Hey everyone. I just recently bought myself a capture card (the Avermedia c835 / GL310, the 'LGP Lite') so i can stream up some of the old ps3 games i've been getting requested by my community.
Unfortunately i'm having some issues. I am running windows 10, and using OBS Studio v22.0.2. For some reason, OBS -refuses- to show the capture card as a valid video source.
Some notes
>I have already used a splitter to bypass the HDMI protection.
>When i power up RECenter or whatever the AverMedia program is, the capture card works just fine. RECenter sees the video, and is getting audio; OBS is not.
>I have tried both 32 and 64 bit versions of OBS as administrator
>I notice that every time i try to install the software, i get an error message saying-
"Error opening file for writing:
C:\Program Files (x86)\AVerMedia=AVerMedia Stream Engine\Filter\avmaacdec.ax
Click abort to stop installation, retry to try again, or ignore to skip the file"
This error message cannot be passed by "retrying", if I ignore it it pops up again with the following files
>>avmfwt.ax ; avmhc.ax ; avmmp2dmx.ax ; pthreadVC.dll ; sptlib21.dll ; avmc835devicecontrol.dll ; avmc835virtualvideocapture.ax
>Originally, it was allowing me to select the Stream Engine in OBS, but would not show any video or capture any audio, instead simply showing my a blank layer even when expanded to fit the entire canvas. After deleting and reinstalling the drivers, Stream Engine will not show up *at all*.
From the best i can guess i believe it is an issue with the install of the Stream Engine, based on the clearly botched install. No matter how many times i try to uninstall it and clean install it, i have the same error message. I do not know where i can get a 'fixed' installer, if indeed I can at all.
At my wits end here guys, been working on this for two days now trolling forums. Can't find anything that will help this specific issue.
