Question / Help Avermedia Audio Problem

Hello all,

I have the Avermedia LGX capture card and have been wanting to stream. When I start the stream I can get all the visuals to come through but the Audio does not seem to. I have Astro A40's with mix amp. When i un hook the Astros the sound comes through? any help?

What are you capturing? How are you sending audio to the capture card?

I am capturing PS4 gameplay with my Avermedia LGX. I am trying to get the game sound into OBS. The audio is captured through the HDMI cable.

Presumably sound stops going through HDMI and starts going through the Mixamp when you hook it up?

Yes that sounds about right. Even before I got my Astros the sound would stop when I turned on my Playstration Golds with no mixamp.

Then you probably need to connect the Mixamp first and configure OBS to record that instead of NVIDIA High Definition Audio.

I dont have an option for the mixamp only the high def and default

How does the Mixamp connect to your PC? USB? If so it won't be listed until it's connected.

I do not have it connected to my PC. Do I need to have it connected to both my PC and my PS4
