Hey-o!
I'm one of those weirdos who uses OBS for Television-style broadcasting rather than game-streaming. More succinctly, i'm using OBS to stream music videos MTV style. But i'm not quite happy with the way it looks just making one scene that points to a VLC Video Scource which points to a folder that plays random videos. I don't know if this is even possible, but here's what i'm thinking of:
You have a list of Scenes set up, each one using the VLC Video Source as it's source. Each VLC source points to a different folder of videos.
The plugin/script/what-have-you monitors the source output. When it detects that the video from the VLC Video Source list has finished playing, it then automatically switches to the next scene in the list, which again points to a folder of videos. It then plays a random video from *that* folder. When it detects the video in that scene has finished playing, it switches to the next scene.
Idealy, the list of scenes would loop, so you have a never-ending playlist of video folders, each having a random video played from it when the scene it's in is selected.
Again, dunno if this is possible, but I thought i'd try here and see if anyone knows how to make it happen.
Thanks in advance to *anyone* who takes this project on. You rock! :)
