"Automatic Scene Switcher" to pick window by process name, not just full window title like "Window Capture" does

"Automatic Scene Switcher" only lets you pick a window by it's full windows title. So apps that have documents that include that in the title are not picked if the document changes.
However "Window Capture" has an option to pick a windows based off just the process name. So it works in this circumstance.

How can I do this with "Automatic Scene Switcher"? Is there a work-around? Is there a to-do list to put this on?

In the scene switcher, you can edit the window titles that should match. It's a partial match, so remove specific parts like document name and leave the part of the title that is common to all instances of the window. For example, if you have a title like "myfile.txt - Notepad", remove the first part and keep "- Notepad" to match all instances of Notepad, regardless of the filename.

I don't see a way to manually edit the string, it only has a dropdown list of available windows (OBS 27.1.3)

Choose from the dropdown list, then just edit the text. It's an input field. Then add the entry by clicking the +.

Ok, I've checked this and it's not working. It does not seem to be a partial match.
If the text is "Visual Studio Code" it wont find the window "GameSave.json - Visual Studio Code"

I've tried it with a few more windows too in the scene switcher and it doesn't appear to work with partial matches
