Automatic scene resizing

I got a MacBook Air m2 and am trying out streaming for the first time. I’m running obs and I’ve ran into two issue. The major issue is that when I create a scene and get the windows scaled to where I want them, if I leave the scene and come back, obs may automatically rescale them to a different size. Is there any way to stop this? The other issue is that text boxes are showing up, but the text I input is not.

I’ve realized now that it’s only resizing the other scenes when I attempt to resize one myself. So for instance when I resize the scene that shows my browser window, obs will in turn resize my “hide screen” scene. Then when I try to fix the size of the “hide screen scene” the browser window scene gets resized as well. Any way to resize a scene without affecting the others? I know I’m doing something wrong.
