Question / Help Auto-Mute Sound when Push to Talk

Hello!
I´m streaming music (playing instruments etc.). I use the Webcam Microphone with Push-To-Talk, but it collides with my actual audio playing. I have to stop it first to say something.
OBS has the option to put different actions on the same key eg. Push-to-Talk AND Push-To-Mute.
But is there maybe a way to reduce everything but the microphone to 10% of its original volume?

You can add 'Audio Input Capture' source (Create new) to a different scene and disable all global audio devices at Settings>Audio. For each device in the scene you can setup different volume level (via Mixer's list or Advanced Audio Properties window). By switching scenes you can cycle through the scenes with desirable volume level you defined earlier for each your device.

Can you describe more this part:

I'm not quite understand. You cannot choose camera's mic when you attach device to the PC? You can post log as well.

If you trying to switch scenes by mouse then Scenes list focused and hotkeys not working (simply click in preview window to workaround).

Hey Suslik, thanks for your answer.

I try to describe it a bit different: If i press a button, everything should be muted (better lowered to 10% to its original volume) but the microphone. It´s a bit like when a radio broadcaster want to say something over the music that is playing and it(the music) immediatly falls back in volume.

Switching scenes worked with that 10% remaining in volume, but it is not a elegant solution i think. the switching itself takes a moment and is noticable and i have to use my mouse (go into the program, click on the other scene).

I found a solution, but it only works with full mute or full unmute. You can set all audio sources to the same key, for example F8 and use a combination of Push-To-Talk and Push-To-Mute. Unfortunately i only can lower the volume by 100%, not just by 90%. It would be great to implement that in the software.

I also noticed that the camera microphone begins crackling in sound when i activate Push-To-Mute (in the settings, not via pressing the button) on the other audio sources.

You can switch scenes with hotkeys.
While switching scenes you can use transition filter ('Fade' for example).
