I am currently using a Canon Rebel SL2 with an Elgato CamLink as my primary video source when streaming.
Canon camera have an issue when streaming where they often freeze and need to be disabled and re-enabled to make them function again. Because of this, I have a hotkey set to hide/show my video source, with the video source set to be disabled when not showing. This solution works perfectly to solve this issue.
However, sometimes it is not noticeable when my video source is frozen because I am in the middle of gameplay or I am sitting in the same spot for a while and don't notice what I am doing is not translating to the camera.
I was wondering if there is a tool that will allow me to automatically disable and enable my video source after a set period of time.
I have tried using Advanced Scene Switcher to do this but it does not have any options to adjust a video source without also effecting the current scene. Since I do not need the scene to switch or anything like that, this is not what I am looking for.
If anyone could provide some assistance or lead me to a tool that will do this for me, it would be much appreciated!
