Audio sync was very bad today.

I had to delay the audio by 8 seconds to sync with the video. I have been using 1.3sec delay and it has given us good sync.
I can't see anything about audio syncing although it mentions adding some audio buffering in the log. Am I missing something.

What was out of sync? Mic, game?

The live stream was an an analog audio feed and an rtsp video feed. The audio was ahead of the video by about 8 seconds. When I tested the configuration the audio was ahead of the video by 1300ms and I delayed the audio and got it in sync. But 2 days later this same configuration gave me this 8 second delay which I had not seen before. I don't know what to do to prevent this problem.

I've switched to vMix and had much better luck. The delay for the same setup seems to be about 800ms pretty consistently. It has a better audio management system with mixing capability. So far the audio sync problem seems better controlled. I have no idea why.

It seems that your audio is being buffered, which is adding extra (and unwanted) latency.

At this point, I would recommend you to export and backup your profiles and scene collections and do a clean install of OBS Studio.
