Audio suddenly reducing to static

I am encountering a recurring but intermittent issue with my audiosources and possibly more. It follows a fairly consistent pattern. Upon starting stream, within usually the first minute after I see the message in chat confirming that I am live, my video output will begin to flicker periodically (lasting less than a second and reoccuring every few minutes). Within 30 seconds of such a flicker, any active audiosource will also cut out for a few seconds, then seem to recover. If I do not immediately see this behavior at the start of stream, it does not seem to occur later, but if I do, the result is invariable. Within 30 minutes any audiosources will suddenly be reduced to a loud, unending squelch of static. Muting the mic spares eardrums but does not help in any way. Disabling and reenabling the mic does not help in any way. Switching to a different audiosource does not help in any way. And while it is taking place, the audio is only compromised within OBS. The only somewhat reliable "fix" I have found for it is a full reboot, and even this does not seem to be reliable unless I specifically Stop Stream and Exit. I have explored a hunch that it was the result of leaving OBS open too long, but this doesn't appear to be the case as it can still happen right after a reboot.

If it matters, my primary audio input capture is a Blue Yeti operating under its default configuration, but again it happens with any peripheral input devices. I first observed the problem about 3 weeks ago.

Any thoughts?
