Question / Help Audio source for miniDV unavailable

Hi,

I am trying to use my Panasonic miniDV camera connected through firewire 1394 interface as a source for OBS.
Video goes fine from it but there is no choice for DV audio in.
QuickTime player squize audio and video from my camera with no problem.
Is there any solution or workaround for this problem?
I will really appreciate any suggestion.

I just found temporary solution myself.
This may be used until OBS team fix the issue.
I have not tested it extensively yet but at least it works.
- You have to install BlackHole virtual audio driver
- then start QT and set its audio output to Blackhole
- In OBS you need to create the new "audio in" source and point it to Blackhole.
This brings the audio to your DV recordings.
Will see if that does not really add some latency or delays on the long tracks.
May be as the alternative it worth starting a support ticket with OBS
in order to get straight solution for the further OBS version updates.
