Question / Help Audio showing up in mixer but not recorded.

I have been looking all over the internet and these forums for a few days to at least find out the problem but with no luck.

In the mixer under Mic/Audio I can see the green bar react to sounds I make so I know that OBS is picking up the sounds but when I record there is no audio from my mic at all.

There is also no audio being recorded from the system but I have clearly heard audio myself. The desktop audio is behaving just like my mic audio. Seen but not heard, basically.

I don't have any push to talk settings on.

Here's my log from earlier today : https://gist.github.com/9f63636ca7a3ce03ca31

My mic is a built in headset mic and it's a Razer Kraken Pro.

I'm running Windows 10. I'm not too tech savvy so layman's terms would be great!

Thank you so much for helping! I need all the help I can get.

P.S. I'm not using OBS to stream, I'm only recording with it if that helps at all.

Ok so I booted up my video editer (Magix Movie Edit Pro) and I found out that no my mic audio isn't a separate track but I can hear it there for some reason. It sounds horrible but it's there. There's like a clipping noise whenever I speak. I think this is no longer (if ever) a problem with OBS.

Sure how would you like me to send it to you? I have a three second clip that has all these problems and it was recorded under the same conditions.

Definitely sounds like the movie editor is the problem at this point.

Tried other players (VLC) and editors (avidemux, openshot)?

That clip plays my voice in VLC Media Player just fine. I haven't tried other editors because this (Magix Movie Edit Pro 2015) is the one I've bought but if those you listed are free to try I'll give it a whirl.

I just hate to not use a product I paid for because I can be an extremely cheap person sometimes and I feel it would be a waste. I'll contact them and hopefully get a solution on their end so I could keep using the product. But I do need something between now and then as their customer service is very slow to answer.

avidemux and openshot are both free.
Audacity can also check the audio stream on its own, is free, and is at least worth the attempt.

I've had Audacity before but I had no clue what I was doing. There was too much I didn't know and needed to learn. It was just out of my depth. I'll look into those two and I'll let you know if I keep having the same issue. Thank you for all your help!
