Audio recorded in OBS is clipped - suggestions on cleaning it up?

I used OBS V27.1.3 to record a concert in my home last weekend. When we did the sound check, the audio levels were fine. During the evening, the artist did a few "loud" songs and I realized I had the levels adjusted too high. It was too late at that point to make any changes so I have several songs with audio clipping. Any suggestions on an inexpensive (free would be great) app that would "de-clip" the audio in these .mp4 videos?

Not quite a question for this part of the forum, I think, but if you're looking to recover the sound you're pretty much out of luck. You miiiight be able to make things sound a little less bad using Audacity, but clipped audio lacks recoverable data just like an overly bright part of a photo.

In future, as a precaution, you might want to set up a safety channel (a second audio recording at a lower level), keep an eye on levels throughout recording and adjust, or use automatic levels in your recorder (not ideal, but can help if you aren't able to balance things live).

Those suggestions depend on the audio not being clipped when it reached OBS. If it's your recorder clipping then you're in the wrong place.
