Audio Output Muffled/Cannot hear stream pc audio (Dual Pc Setup with GoXLR)

Hi everyone. I have a dual pc stream setup with a goxlr, sending audio from my gaming pc to my streaming pc. I have routed the line in’s/out’s from the goxlr to my stream pc.

I have one audio input capture source in obs on my streaming pc. I am able to control different audio like Spotify, discord, games and my mic on my goxlr.

However, the audio sounds terrible on the stream. My mic sounds normal on stream weird enough, but games and music sound like it’s underwater or something. When I play for instance spotify, it will sound normal for about 2 seconds, then the level will drop and it sounds like it is muffled or inside of a chamber.

I have fidgeted with audio streaming quality in obs and the same result. I have the settings of things like desktop audio, etc in the audio settings tab disabled since I assume the goxlr is controlling that. Though I do have the mic/auxiliary input set to my line in or microphone input. I have fidgeted with changing these settings as well with the same result however.

Also, my GoXLR is connected via USB to my gaming PC. Someone suggested flipping things around, in which case I will if I have to. But I prefer the current setup I have if I can get it to work. Per many youtube videos, this seems to be the setup.

Any ideas?

Here is a google drive link to a short clip I took of the audio playing for a couple seconds then cutting out. I really appreciate any and all help!

Also, let me know if this is appropriate. I would PayPal/Venmo someone in order to help me. I’ve posted to many forums to no avail. I would love a 1 on 1 Skype or FaceTime session to try and solve my issue. I am desperate at this point to solve the issue after spending many hours and days on it.

Hey my friend. At first it sounded to me as if you were simply playing things too loudly. Can this be? I would have had another idea now that you might be sending the signal twice somewhere? Do you have monitoring on somewhere? Or inferior cables?

Hey all! So this might not be a fix for everyone. But for the life of me I COULD NOT FIGURE OUT WHY. For me personally, I had pre existing filters applied to my mic on obs. Make sure you have NO FILTERS that will potentially get rid of background noise. OBS will process for example gunshots in a game or music as "background noise." If you don't have filters applied in OBS, there may be something else on your computer that is potentially monitoring your mic/adding background noise filters to your mic. Also, make sure that "allow apps to make changes to this device" is unchecked and "disable all sound effect" is checked in the line in properties on the sound control panel as these settings seem to be the ones causing the most trouble for a majority of people having this issue. Hope this helped at least someone!

Hi, i just wanted to point out this worked. I had completely gotten a new goxlr ; didnt fix the issue. I instead added a new audio source, disabled the old source, and it works perfectly fine again.
