Audio out of synch with video - VHS tape recording

Newbie obviously and not au fait with the tech (yet). Using a DigitNow! video capture 'stick' to transfer VHS tapes to Windows 10 PC hard disk via OBS software. Picture quality is great and sound too. However the sound on the recorded version (PC hard disk MP4 file) is out of synch with the video. I've looked everywhere to see if there's an time adjustment setting to correct this but haven't found anything. I'm sure it's a simple thing to solve for those familiar with such things and your assistance would be appreciated! Many thanks.

If de-sync is constant then there is "offset" setting in OBS main menu Edit > Advanced Audio Properties.
If de-sync increasing constantly, you may try some audio editor program to alternate audio track speed (duration), and then mix new track with some video editor program into new media file.

OBS is not the best tool for the capturing VHS. Many users report same problems (the tread suggest to try other capturing device or different program): https://obsproject.com/forum/threads/hi8-tape-to-laptop-out-of-sync.183529/

And here is why OBS may not be the best program for the mentioned task: https://obsproject.com/forum/thread...orrect-sample-rate-from-elgato-hd60-x.191254/

Thank you! Very useful insight.
Turns out that the other suggested application software (Pot player) is very much better - albeit slightly more clunky to set up and use, but the persistence was worth it.
