I am using a UCEC video capture device with OBS as recommended by Amazon reviewers, who gave tips on proper settings for recording. Worked out all the kinks except one. The audio on the recordings make a *pop* sound whenever the video starts, stops, or is advanced. Discovered this is due to there being extra noise in the background that can't be heard, but it shows up in the audio profile, and causes clipping with the audio recorded on top of it.
The Vu-meters for the device's audio remain stationary, so at 100% volume (0.0 db), they stay in the red zone and don't move, with the audio moving up and down the Peak Programme Meter from that spot. Even if I reduce the volume so the Vu-meters are in the green, the popping is still there. Applying Noise Reduction causes the Vu-meters and Peak Programme Meter behave normally like the other audio sources, however this filters out any music in the video and only allows voices to come through.
Is there a setting or filter I need to change in order for the video capture's audio to function normally?
Here's a log file for whatever it's worth: https://obsproject.com/logs/XBfGo_KHwkoHKTQs
