Question / Help Audio On Same Tracks

Alright. So I was doing some local recording last night with a couple of friends. And I reviewed it today. Just to find out that my microphone audio wasn't being recorded. So I had to scrap the hour and a half long footage. I was messing around with it today and found out that my desktop audio and microphone audio have to be on the same track. If there not. One or the other doesn't record.

And I just install the 0.16.6 version. So I don't know what's going on. Can someone please help me or point me in the right direction.

Thanks in advance.

How do you know it doesn't record? Did you actually switch to the other track in your video player?

Because I did tests. Switch my microphone audio from track to track and it only seems like it records when I'm recording them both on the same track. I'd recrod for 30 seconds and check it. If it didn't work. I'd switch them.

I don't switch anything in my video player. I shouldn't have to.

Yes you do need to switch in your video player. Multiple tracks are not played all at once, only one is played at a time.

Really. I don't think I've ever had to do that before. But I can't seem to find any options like that in Windows Media player.
