I installed the latest version of OBS yesterday and found I couldn't get audio capture to work. After searching around a bit I found the following:
How to capture desktop audio on Mac
Desktop audio on Mac currently requires a second program to help OBS capture it, since macOS does not provide a way to capture audio built-in. You can accomplish this with a program called iShowU.
But even after following all the steps exactly (using first BlackHole and then switching to iShowU), I still can't get audio capture/recording to work.
Here is what I'm running:
OBS 26.1.2 (64 bit)
MacBook Pro 2019 (Catalina 10.15.7 (19H2))
2.3 GHz 8-Core Intel Core i9
I've also attached screenshots of what I've done/set up to help illustrate what I've done.
I'm hoping that in spite of following the directions to the letter, I've managed to miss something and so just need a nudge to get this working.
And just to confirm - the video capture works absolutely fine. The problem I'm having is that I cannot record audio.
Any constructive advice very welcome.
