Audio monitoring suddenly stopped working

This morning during setup, I noticed that there is no sound from OBS in the headset. System sounds are there. OBS sound is present on stream. I've checked advanced settings, monitoring and output are both turned on. I've tried both headset and "default" in the monitoring device. I've rebooted and checked for updates. I'm running 25.0.8, so there should have been no software updates. Any ideas on what else I should look at?

I was going to post logs, but I think I found the problem. I had installed Google Chrome to experiment with some issues with Facebook Live, and this appears to be the problem. I'm guessing that Chrome is locking audio output devices when it starts up. If time allows, I'll test a few other things.
