Audio monitoring.....Output Only?

Hello. Hope someone can help me out.

Is there a way in "Audio Monitoring" to set a source to "Output Only"? The only options currently presented are 1)Monitor Off, 2)Monitor Only, 3)Monitor and Output.

Here's my current setup- a) I have an external mic mixer to capture live voices in a studio being captured in OBS. b) VIdeo Camera to capture the in-studio participants into OBS c) Capturing Zoom participants video and audio into OBS d) Music tracks playing in another program being fed into OBS.

Need to do this- Send all of the above to the stream. Send "c" and "d" back into the studio but not "a"

I've got everything working except I can't seem to find a way to prevent sending "a" back into the studio. Hence my question if OBS has an "Output Only" option in Audio Monitoring.

Would Voicemeeter be of any use? If so, how would I configure it?

FYI- No recording taking place.

Thanks! Ed

I had essentially the same problem. I wanted to be able to run a Zoom-based role playing game with different music sources that I can pre-setup for different parts of the game (action/forest sound effects/etc). I'd like to be able to hear those sounds BUT not my own microphone - but I want the Zoom participants to hear both.
Initially I tried using OBS's 'virtual camera' to stream visuals and set my headphones as the 'monitor' to hear everything. Zoom uses my 'stereo mix' as its microphone source and this works great to stream everything OBS is receiving - but I can also hear myself, which is a bit distracting.
Like you, I was interested in using Voicemeter. I tested out Voicemeter Banana and succeeded with what I needed, but this might work with regular Voicemeter too.
1. Setup OBS with all of your audio/media sources that you want to be able to hear
2. Setup OBS audio monitor as "Voicemeter Aux input" to push it all to Voicemeter
3. Setup Voicemeter Banana with headphones as your A1 output
4. Setup Voicemeter Banana with the microphone source that you don't want to personally hear (but still want streamed). There are output toggles (A1,A2,etc) in each input channel - I turned off my A1 toggle which stops it being pushed out the headphones (as setup in step 3)
5. Load your streaming program e.g. Zoom, and use the "Voicemeter Output" as the microphone source.

This should combine your microphone source into the OBS monitor output, and make it accessible to a streaming program, but stop it being heard by you.

Good luck!
