Audio Monitoring and Default Devices: Potential bug?

Anyone else lose audio monitoring when Monitor is set to default and the default device changes? Stopping stream and restarting OBS fixes it.
For example: Default audio is gaming headset, everything is fine. I start up SteamVR and the default changes from gaming headset to VR headset and audio monitoring fails. I restart OBS and stream and it is working fine.
