Audio Monitor Broken

Hi all, I have been using OBS studio for almost a year now and recently ran into a rather annoying issue.
Last week Windows made a driver update to my sound card (Sound Blaster Z). After the update, the audio mixing on OBS got screwed up to where whenever there was game audio playing, my mic audio would get heavily distorted.

I reverted the driver update to see if that would correct the issue but it caused a new one. Now audio monitoring isn't working correctly. OBS will no longer record my mic audio unless the mic monitor is ON (with or without muted output. Yes, it records when the output is supposed to be muted too). While I can still stream/record, I would much rather not have to listen to myself constantly when streaming. I do want to state that I did not have this problem before the update as OBS could record my mic without the monitor being on (which should be normal behavior). The mic is perfectly fine from everything I can tell, it still shows as having audio in the audio mixer window, it just isn't mixing it into the output unless the monitor is on.

I've double-checked the audio devices (it's only the desktop audio and my mic, no other devices). Audio filters are just the limiter as noise canceling is handled by my soundcard. I've also uninstalled/reinstalled OBS and the problem persists.

Any ideas? What else can I do? I've included a log file from some testing today if that helps.
