Audio Looping Issue on Twitch Stream (Recording works fine)

Hello Community,

I am experiencing a strange issue with my audio setup.

  • When I stream on Twitch, my microphone audio starts looping (repeating itself until it fades out).
  • When I do a local recording in OBS, the audio is completely fine – no loop.
  • The loop happens only after I speak, and I can reproduce it both when monitoring my stream on my PC and also on a mobile device.
  • If I mute or disable Desktop Audio, the looping disappears, but then obviously no game audio comes through.
I already checked:

  • Monitoring is set to Monitor Off.
  • Only one Mic/Aux and one Desktop Audio are active.
  • Windows “Listen to this device” is disabled.
  • Direct Monitor in my Focusrite Control is also disabled.
Attached is a screenshot of my Audio Mixer.
Would you recommend attaching more screenshots (e.g. from Settings → Audio) to help troubleshoot?

Does anyone have an idea what might be causing this loop on Twitch, but not in recordings?

If you want to hear the looping yourself, here is my Twitch channel: https://www.twitch.tv/brambros

I skimmed your vods but didn't find any specific examples of this "looping". however, it sounds like you're watching your own stream. Don't do that, or make sure you're not watching on the same device. If you're playing the stream on the same PC you're streaming from, it will capture and play the audio, causing the loop to occur.
