Question / Help Audio levels changing at random

Hi guys. Been searching the web for possible fixes and solutions and haven’t seen a diffinitive answer to this question yet so I’m asking the forum gurus for some clarification.

Here is the problem:

I took the time to balance audio levels thoroughly between game, mic, and desktop audio capture. All the levels seemed fine in recording directly to the local drive on the machine. And after starting a stream I’ve listenex to audio to check again that everything is functioning properly and levels are good.

After a bit of time streaming I’ll begin getting messages that the someone can’t hear something in the stream. (Game sound will be too low, microphone too low, etc). And after checking the mixer the sliders have adjusted down to low dB and are no longer where I set them.

Is there some sort of windows or OBS setting that could be adjusting levels automatically? Or is it a driver? And if so which ones should I reinstall?
