Audio lag when using USB capture device from VHS player

I am very new to OBS and I'm trying to transfer home video recordings to my PC. I have a Sony SLV-SE830 VCR linked to my Dell PC via a DigitNow BR116 USB 2.0 Video Grabber. I have managed to capture the video and audio but the audio significantly lags behind the picture. Please can you direct me to the settings I need to change to bring the video and audio into sync.

Positive offset delays the audio.
Negative offset eats into the buffer to make it early, at the possible expense of stability.

If you can't get the audio early enough and still stable, then you can delay the picture:

I'm not sure why there are two delays available here. You only need one of them.

It's also possible that your capture card has *random* latency, in the hardware device itself, in which case you'll have to readjust the settings every time you turn it on. The better quality capture cards don't do that.
