Audio issues?

Hi, Complete newbie here....any hoo. Havent got a log file.....my grandson has started a youtube channel - he is 12. got him a Sony zv1 camera, a

Fulfalic Video Capture Card, Audio Video Capture Card, USB 3.0 Capture Card 4K HDMI Loop-Out, 1080P 60FPS/2K 30FPS Video Game Capture for Streaming etc. ​

He has the camera connected to the laptop via capture card. Completed a recording last night, but on playback, half way through the 30 min video there is a clear distortion on the sound a kinda tinny echo sound. I wanted to check if this could be the capture card, how OBS is is processing the sound, suggestions on how we set up his system i.e. better for sound only to be captured by the camera (as he did last night - with laptop mic turned off). Any help/suggestions would be welcome. thank you
