Audio Issues When Recording Pod

I am a volunteer at my church, and I am trying to record our Pastor's podcast. We route everything through a Behringer X32 soundboard into our desktop. Audio seems to work fine with every other recording app, but I can't get any sound in OBS. I've checked all the audio settings in OBS, and they are the same as we usually use. (We've been doing the pod for three years or so.)

I don't know what to do at this point. Does anyone have any ideas of what could be happening? (And yes, I tried closing OBS and restarting my PC!) Thanks in advance.

Are you using the Default device selection in OBS? That defers the choice of device to the operating system, which can change it at any time. So it's a ticking time bomb that does exactly what (I think) you describe: audio works perfectly, then suddenly it doesn't.

ALWAYS choose a specific device *in OBS*. NEVER use Default.

Default is good to prove that a fresh installation works, but nothing more. Always change it to a specific device.

Are you new to OBS Studio? if so, yea... there is a bit of a learning curve.
- If yes, first install/use of OBS Studio, there is a chance you simply aren't expecting the Audio setting defaults (for example, not Outputting as user don't RTFM and then get an echo).. or something like that
- Or, having you been using OBS Studio for years, and something recently changed? if yes, see pinned post in this forum (also in my .sig) regarding posting your OBS Studio log
if this case, an OS or Behringer driver update may have changed the audio device settings...
Assuming Audio from Behringer available to other apps on PC as normal, then I'd check OBS Studio permission settings on the audio interface just in case
