Hey I just joined :) The suggestion they will give you is VLC player, which works fine indeed.
If you want to use VLC player that is, I personally really don't like the interface so am not happy with that. As technically advanced etc etc etc it is I think it simply looks horrible and is not user friendly.
Strange thing is it worked fine for me using FLV during setup and fine tuning (which there was a bit to do to make it work). Then I decided to use MP4 when the sound stopped recording.
I found the VLC solution which does work (granted) but I don't like, so I switched back to MP4, unfortunatly thats where it stopped working all together on anything but VLC. Now it doesn't matter if switch back to MP4 or FLV, nothing works on Media Player or Cyberlink Power Media Player for that matter.
So in summary, I think "forcing people" to use VLC is a work around and not a fix, and SOMEHOW it did work before....
Hope this helps somebody, but for now I am stuck with VLC and not happy...
