Audio is not Recording

I am having a challenging time setting up my audio. The voice is not being recorded, when I record my PowerPoint presentation. I am sue setting are incorrect. I have tried following some instructions, but nothing works. I am using my laptop with the mic. What would be my setting to ensur ethe audio is recorded? If I want to use headphones with a mic, how would I set it up? Thank you!!!
