Hi. I've been recording for a long time now (well 1 year+). OBS has done most of the recording for me. The videos turn out great . . . except - sometimes the entire video is a still image. I record to .mvk then remux to .mp4. I have had to stop using OBS multiple times because of the still image issue. No idea what has changed before so that it works again. So I've used other recording software as well. I prefer OBS but I need it to be reliable. I am a content creator and I count on my videos turning out as they should. OBS is great software. I have no idea what causes this issue and would love any ideas that you all might have to help me.
I just recorded an hour long session and now it has to be tossed out. While I can overcome this, sometimes what I did just can't be replicated. So again - need reliability. I know this is the favored application of most of us and it is mine as well.
1080p
8k bitrate
My hardware is as it has been and not changed. Just did a 4 hour Kasperky iso scan and no viruses or malware detected. 4 internal drives and an 8TB external were all scanned. I am a 40 years plus computer person and know my way around all of the hardware. This one is self built as I have been doing for decades. Also a software developer. So I have skills and knowledge - but definitely don't know it all.
So I come here and humbly ask for help. Thanks in advance.
Computer Specs:
Windows 10 Pro 64
AMD Ryzen 7 5800X3D
64 GB RAM
RTX 3060 12 GB VRAM
nvme2
multiple internal SSDs
along with 3 monitors
and other as normal :)
Video driver is current.
