Audio is glitchy in OBS capture via AverMedia Live Gamer Ultra 2.1 GC553G2 capture card - But not glitchy in ReCentral

Hi. I have the AverMedia Live Gamer Ultra 2.1 GC553G2 capture card. The downloads page says the card supports multichannel 5.1 audio after you install the firmware. I’ve done that and I’ve installed the OBS plugin for 5.1 audio. When I set my Sky Q box to output PCM 2.0 or Dolby Digital 5.1 the picture is perfect with no dropped frames but the audio is glitchy with occasional popping noises when using OBS capture software. However capturing PCM 2.0 with ReCentral capture software (version Avermedia downloads page says to use) is NOT glitchy but when I set the box to output Dolby Digital 5.1 then ReCentral crashes upon opening it. So my issues are:

  • OBS can capture in PCM 5.1 or AAC 5.1 but the audio is glitchy even when capturing stereo.
  • ReCentral won’t open when source is Dolby Digital 5.1
  • AverMedia Streaming Center has no 50fps output option which is what Sky Sports F1 UHD channel outputs in.
