Hello,
I have a Macbook Pro early 2011, the OS being Sierra, and I'm having troubles recording in-game audio along with my own voice. I use a USB audio device, and I've tried many things like SoundFlower, WavTap, and even IShowU. Am I doing something wrong, or is it probably just my laptop?

I use iShowU Audio on y Mid 2014 MacBook Pro. It works great for me. Did you set mix.aux to ishowu
mic/aux 2 to your mic and all others are disabled.
