Hey everyone! We are new to using OBS and live streaming on Facebook. We've had little to no help setting everything up and we've got a kink somewhere and we aren't really sure what to change. We are a church and planning on running our sound, from the sound board to the capture device. When we've done test streams, it sounds like it's still picking up audio from the surroundings, instead of from the board. Also, as soon as the band started playing, there was nothing but loud staticy white noise coming through on the live stream. Can anyone give me any direction as to what settings might need to be changed?

What interface are you using to capture the audio from your sound board? Or do you have a hardware based streaming solution?

We are using a StarTech capture device, that runs from a video switcher, which runs from our Presonus sound board. Last week we had to stop and switch to using Facebook live on the phone because of the static. I'm testing today for the service and not can't get a sound at all.
I'm at a loss. I'll keep messing with some of the settings and see what we can find out. In the OBS dashboard, it looks like it's recognizing the audio. But now it's not transferring any sound at all to Facebook Live.We are having the same issue trying to get audio from Camera to our youtube live stream. Have any suggestions?

i am having an issue now with this, worked fine last week, this week no audio capture, no matter what, mic tested on an SLR and audio is being captures at the mic, but nothing in OBS
