Audio filters (plugins) monitor latency lag

I am trying to live stream a concert and having trouble monitoring with audio filters applied. I need to be able to hear the filters in real-time (or as close as possible) so I can adjust them as I'm playing/listening. I've tried everything and can't seem to hear the filters without latency. Here are some specs to help understand the issue:

1) I am running 2 mics into a Focusrite Scarlett 18i8
2) I am listening through headphones via the Scarlett and by way of the Focusrite Control interface
3) I have my audio capture in OBS Studio set to "monitor and output" so I can hear the applied filters
4) I am mostly using high-quality Fabfilter plugins for this test

What I get is about a 1/2 second lag, so it's impossible to dial in delay, etc. while playing. I can't seem to even find where I might adjust a latency issue like this in OBS Studio. It's doubtful that the latency is coming from either Focusrite or from the plugins themselves, as I've never had any issues and those settings are dialed in - although I'm open to suggestions (Note that these plugins don't really have a latency adjustment on-baord to my knowledge).

I have tried using Voicemeeter (and potato and banana) to monitor with, but I can't even get any sound out of my headphones using that method, which seems incredibly complex for such a simple thing - I tried every which way and nothing. I've also tried running through Pro Tools and using Voicemeeter, but again can't even get any sound out and it always crashes.

Any help would be greatly appreciated, thanks!
