I use OBS to stream my church's worship services and have been doing so with only minor issues since the start of the pandemic. This morning however all audio input sources failed but only after having worked for the first 20 minutes or so. At the point of failure there was no change made to the hardware we use or to OBS itself, I only noticed when the comments started coming in from our parishioners.
We recently experienced a similar problem where the audio capture from our camera failed but I switched to the mic on our laptop. The quality wasn't great but the audio did come through, so I assumed it was an issue with the camera. When the same thing appeared to happen today I set up a new audio capture from the laptop mic but it didn't work either.
I've looked through a few previous posts on here regarding similar problems but they all seemed to be rooted in users setting their audio input to 'default' rather than a specific device. In my case it didn't matter what device (or default) I set it to, nothing worked.
I had to stop the stream and restart OBS, which solved the problem but by that point half of our congregation had assumed it wasn't coming back and left.
Could anyone help identify the problem and suggest a solution?
Log files attached, wherein you'll see my panicked attempts at adding new audio inputs over and over in the hope that they'd start working!
